Heat exchangers

Overview

Air Cooled Heat Exchangers also known as Air Fin Cooler or Fin Fan heat exchangers are typically used in applications where water availability is obstacle or the desired process outlet temperature can be achieved given the maximum ambient temperatures.

Air Cooled Heat Exchangers are used in a wide variety of applications in Refineries, Petrochemical Complexes, Natural Gas processing facilities and Power Plants. Common air to liquid applications include but are not limited to lube oil coolers, water and glycol coolers, jacket water coolers, engine radiators, hydraulic oil coolers and closed loop cooling systems.

Common air to air or air to gas applications include inter/after coolers on compressors, blower coolers, biogas cooling, landfill gas cooling, soil vapor extraction, and a wide variety of condensing applications. With our vast knowledge and expertise in a wide range of industries and markets we can help put you in the most cost effective and efficient option available.

Overview

Shell and Tube Heat Exchangers are one of the most popular types of exchanger due to the
flexibility the designer has to allow for a wide range of pressures and temperatures. There are two
main categories of Shell and Tube exchanger:
• Those that are used in the petrochemical industry which tend to be covered by standards from
TEMA, Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association (see TEMA Standards);
• Those that are used in the power industry such as feedwater heaters and power plant
condensers.
